Roses in shades of pink, purple and cream have been embroidered onto a panel on the front cover of this pretty patchwork needle book.
The cover of this needle book has been stitched from a patchwork of cotton fabrics, embellished with machine couching over a fancy knitting ribbon. An 'open-weave' of pink and blue threads, has been inserted as a background for the embroidery. The embroidered design has been worked in a combination of tapestry wools, knitting 'tape' and strips of floral printed fabric. This printed fabric is used to line the cover of the needle book. The 'pages' of the needle book formed of two pieces of felt - giving a total of four 'pages'. The needle book closes with a length of ribbon twisted around a vintage purple button.
