I mix elements of traditional and contemporary design within my ceramic bowls to create items with a classic feel and a modern twist. I hope that this will make my pottery stand the test of time so that the objects I make can be used and enjoyed year after year. I fire to stoneware temperature so that all my objects are durable, even though they might look delicate and fragile. If you're giving one of these as a Christmas gift, or as a gift for her, we can include a free of charge gift tag - just ask!

Full description
These red poppy design ceramic bowls have been really popular as Christmas gifts. This one would make an elegant holder for a little tea light or votive candle. It can also be used in the bedroom, bathroom or kitchen to put jewellery in. The texture and colour inside this dish are so pretty that you might want to keep it empty as it looks great on its own for decoration.
Its delicate shape is given strength by my use of a very strong, creamy clay, which I fired to stoneware temperature. This one is glazed with a deep pink-red shiny glaze on the inside with black accents in the textured bottom. I used layers of washy glaze to create the almost transparent effect of poppy petals. The outside was left unglazed to create contrast and let the natural beauty of the textured clay shine through.
This piece measures approx 10 x 5 cm
Please note, this item is intended for decorative use. I made several of these, and each one is unique. Please allow for a very slight variation between the one pictured and the one you receive. It will be very similar and equally pretty I promise.
