I mix elements of traditional and contemporary design within my ceramic bird shaped bowls to create a classic feel with a modern twist. I hope that this will make my pottery stand the test of time so that the objects I make can be used and enjoyed year after year. I fire to stoneware temperature so that all my objects are durable, even though they might look delicate and fragile.

Full description
The texture and pattern on the surface of this little bird bowl were made by pressing vintage lace into the clay whilst it was still soft. I added deep ruby-red glaze to the top surface, and the underside is unglazed with a little fabric texture.
There are many uses for the little bird. Keep it by your bed to keep earrings safe, use it as a little soap dish or put a little candle in it at night.
The colour and texture inside are so pretty you might decide to keep it empty for decoration.
It measures approx 3.5 x 4 inches and is 1.25 inches tall.

Although I have made a couple of these, the one you will receive is unique, and might vary very slightly but it will be very similar and equally pretty I promise.
