Mookaite chips and ceramic flower stretchy bracelet. Easy to wear, easy to care for with a real distinctive edge, this is a statement bracelet and no mistake. The focal point is the large, ceramic stylised flower in a deep burgundy shade with a mustard yellow edge to it. This tones perfectly with the mookaite (or moukite or mookite) chips, also in shades of claret and dark yellow but also with all the other shades of mookaite - creams, browns, pinks etc.
Mookaite comes principally from Mooka Creek in South Western Australia (although I gather some is now found naturally occuring in China as well). It's distinctive in its colour and on the large stones, has patterns that look as if they've been painted. These chips are too small to show pattern and colour variation, but if you search for 'blue forest jewellery mookaite' you'll find other examples in the shop with different patterns and colours.
Dimensions: approximate diameter 19 cm (7.5 inches): flower bead approx 30mm:shown on 1cm squared paper in the final shot to give you an idea of scale: please note I use macro photography to show details and the items may appear larger than life size on your monitor.
