My thoughts are turning to spring and summer and I would like my shop to reflect this mood. Winter themed items have, therefore, been reduced.
A clump of snowdrops, hand embroidered in a mixture of tapestry wools and embroidery thread, nestle against the felted background of the decorated panel of this bookmark.
The decorated panel has been formed from a piece of handknitting, fulled (or felted) to give a closer texture, and machine basted to a thick woolen fabric. The snowdrops have been embroidered onto this panel. The back of the panel is neatened with felt. Couching over a yarn in greens and yellows, frames the design.
The 'tail' of the bookmark is a length of ribbon.

Height of panel - 6 cm approx.
Total length of bookmark - 30 cm approx.
