Thinking about Christmas? I've always found in the past an overflowing bin of ripped up pretty Christmas paper, and think to myself "What a waste!" So this year I decided to make all of my gift bags myself. A fabric bag can be reused, recycled, and passed on, so we have no waste.
A set of three gift bags, all made with last years fabric bits and bobs. First we have a petite gift card envelope, sewn in a green holly cotton & lined with a glitzy white and gold cotton. All tied and brought together with eyelets and a Christmas ribbon, approx 10cm long.
Second, we have a larger flat envelope style bag sewn in a white holly design cotton & lined in a white and gold snowflake design cotton. Again, all brought together with eyelets and a jazzy red & gold cord, size is approx 14cm square.
Last but not least, we have a red and gold holly design cotton drawstring pouch. Fully lined with a cream and red holly themed cotton, and a lovely white and red organza ribbon tie. Finished with a Christmas kanzashi flower, which has a brooch pin so can be removed to reuse elsewhere, or leave on as an extra gift.The flower has two layers, handmade with red and gold on the base petals, and a green holly flower on the second layer. Finished off with a lovely vintage pearl style button. Size is approx 20cm x 25cm.
All machine washable on a delicate cycle wash, but do not tumble dry.
All bags are made to last and finished neatly with eyelets.
