Hi and welcome to The Old Button Sews, where I sell beautiful gifts designed and sewn by me, together with a range of sew-it-yourself craft kits.
Most items are dispatched within 2-3 working days, and I post Tracked 24 at a flat cost, no matter how many items you buy. (Cards and bookmarks are sent First Class, at a lower postage cost).

Sew it yourself - make this fun Pirate-themed memory game with 8 pairs of colourful felt and fabric tiles, with a matching drawstring bag. Pairs is a traditional game that develops short-term memory skills and observation and attention skills. This kit has images of pirates, boats with the Jolly Roger flag, treasure islands and maps - and is designed to appeal to pre-schoolers as well as offer enough complexity for older children.
Presented in a sturdy cardboard box, this kit uses natural materials that are soft and fabulously tactile, as well as good for the environment. The finished tiles are approximately 3.5-inch squares, and store safely away in the fully lined little pouch, measuring 7 by 5 inches (18 by 13 cm).

- Wool felt (2 plain colours and 1 marled)
- Precut fabric motifs backed with fusible web (8 pairs plus 2)
- Quilting cotton (co-ordinating fabrics for the bag)
- Cotton cord
- Safety pin for threading
- Quick how-to guide (printed instructions)
- More detailed step-by-step instructions with colour photos will be emailed after purchase
You will need your sewing machine, sewing thread, sharp scissors, pins, a tape measure or ruler, and a pencil. An iron and rotary blade with a cutting mat are useful, but not essential.
OPTION: I can precut the felt into squares for you.
NOTE: The exact motif images vary slightly in each kit.
CARE: gentle hand washing and natural flat drying are recommended to prevent the wool felt from shrinking.
