Full description
This unframed original abstract textile art has been created from a carefully layered collage of vintage and repurposed fabrics, hand-dyed muslin, black netting and linen to produce a richly textured, contemporary piece of fibre art.
Working to my own design, I have enhanced the layered fabrics with a variety of hand embroidery stitches, celebrating the beauty of frayed edges and overlapping textiles to create depth, movement and tactile interest. The artwork has been further embellished with hand-stitched beads, adding subtle detail and sparkle.
The finished textile artwork has been carefully stitched to 300gsm watercolour paper and presented behind a dark green mount that beautifully complements the colours and textures of the piece.
The mount measures 8" x 10", with the textile artwork measuring approximately 5" x 4", making it ready to fit a standard 8" x 10" frame of your choice.
The mounted artwork is sturdy enough to stand on a mantelpiece, display on a small easel, or frame for a striking piece of contemporary wall art. It will be carefully packaged and posted in a protective self-seal envelope.
