Full description
I made this bag and purse set using a furnishing weight, dark blue, denim-style fabric.
To the front of the bag, I added a panel of hand embroidery which was reclaimed from a vintage tablecloth and features a vase of tall, colourful flowers. The panel is edged with vintage-style cotton lace.
The bag is faced inside at the top with the main fabric for a professional finish and then lined with a Laura Ashley print from 1979, small green trailing leaves printed on white background. The loop of the long handles measure about 59cm, they are about 3cm wide and topstitched along the edges. Inside the bag I have inserted a keyring loop so that the purse can be clipped inside safely. The corners of the bag have been squared off so that the base of the bag is about 8cm and there is no stiffening in the base. Measures approx 46cm across the top and x 38cm down the side seams.
The included purse is made and lined with the same two fabrics. It has a navy blue zip across the top and a key ring loop complete with lobster clasp at the side. It measures 13cm x 9cm and could hold coins, cards, or other small items.
This item is ready to ship. It will be wrapped in new tissue paper while I will use clean recycled packaging on the outside whenever possible.
