Lucie's primitive washday dress was originally launched as a workshop for the Stitchery Beatrix Potter retreat, in the Lake District.
The dress fabric will differ from those in the photo's of the finished dresses, which are my sample dresses.
Now made up in to a kit for you create your own original dress. Ideal to display in a utility room, or alongside your dolls.
The kit comes with a set of instructions - intended to inspire you rather than be prescriptive, by suggesting options. A ready made dress and primitive hanger is included for you to embellish in whatever way you wish.
The kit also contains other trims to help you create your project, or you can add embellishments from your own stash.
This can be done by adding trims, making and attaching a pinny, a pocket (drawstring or quilt), adding a tag or patches, an optional collar, and making a washday quilt sign or bag.
Your pocket or bag can hold your dolly peg and Lucie's lace edged hankie - now cleanly laundered by Mrs Tiggy Winkle.
NOT included - sewing thread, dried flowers to tuck in the pocket, glue if needed.
