This was a real rescue job. A hand-made skirt, looking as good as new, about to head to landfill along with other unwanted garments and spotted by my eagle eye. it had been so nicely sewn that all I had to do was unpick the French seams, remove the elastic channel, give it a wash and an iron and voila! Two large pieces of cotton sewing fabric, featuring foxes, oak leaves and acorns, ready for somebody's new project. Each panel measures 130cm by 67cm. Welcome to the circular economy.
