I'm a fabricoholic - but I know I'm not the only one. When it comes to my own projects - quilting and dressmaking - I like to hunt out vintage or unusual fabrics or re-use material from other sources. There's a particular pleasure, I think, in looking through collections of fabric scraps and finding treasure. I have very happy memories of visiting thrift stores in the States and rummaging through boxes of remnants and scrap bags and emerging with armloads of beauties. That's what I wanted to create with The Happy Land Girl - somewhere you can go for a good virtual rummage. I source the fabrics from all kinds of places, including unpicked old clothing (which is washed and ironed). Nothing is wasted. A piece of fabric can have multiple lives and be the basis of surprising creations. Thank you for shopping with the Happy Land Girl.
