Full description
Ostara is a limited edition of a lino cut. Ostara is the Goddess of Springtime often associated with hares and fertility. I have seen many hares and hope to photograph one someday, so this lino is from a sketch from a mixture of images. I painted a watercolour first then drew the line drawing and transferred onto lino. The line drawing incorporated more abstract ideas from nature using pattern to signify springtime and nature. Ostara has been hand carved and hand pressed by me. It's printed using high quality oil-based ink by Cranfield inks onto Bread and Butter paper. There will be some minor chatter on each as they are all individual. All the prints are signed named and numbered by me. This is an original NOT a digital reproduction.
