Celebrating the beauty of plants, 'Basil Plant' is a limited/variable edition hand pulled screen-print with a small edition size of 15.
This piece was inspired by our indoor herb garden in the kitchen window and captures and exaggerates the textures found naturally on plants. This abstract and quirky wall art is printed in forest green and crimson red to brighten up any space. This piece would look great as part of a gallery wall collection or to fill a small space.
This image was created from my original drawings and collages using handmade printed textures. Three separate images were created, transferred to silkscreens and then screen printed on top of one another to make up the final design.
Basil has a rich symbolic history that centres around love and devotion.
Each print, in this edition of 15, is beautifully unique - no two are the same due to the acrylic paint being spread freshly onto the screen using a pallet knife or brush before each pull. Some will be more red, and others more green, making your piece truly original. Please get in touch if you would like to choose one specifically, as it may not be absolutely identical to the framed ones pictured in terms of colour placement.
This is a handmade print, not a digital print. I handprint everything myself in my home studio and lovingly package and ship each order myself.
Please note actual colours may vary due to monitor settings but I have done my best to capture the artwork as true to life as possible.
