Full description
A hand woven cowl in yellow indie dyed yarn with a sunflower embroidered onto the focal band. The weft yarn has been dyed by an indie artist and is bluefaced Leicester wool and the warp is a blend of wool and alpaca which makes this cowl really warm. The cowl has a charcoal grey linen band with a hand embroidered partial sunflower design. The centre of the sunflower is made brown French knot embroidery and it has bright yellow petals spraying out in a semicircle. The embroidered band makes a striking focal point for the scarf.
The yellow cowl was woven by hand on my rigid heddle loom and sewn into a loop that can be wrapped around your neck keeping you cosy and warm. The great thing about cowls is that you can wrap them around without having the messy ends hanging down or coming undone. The hand woven cloth is soft and drapey making the finished cowl very comfy to wear.
The cowl is unisex and can be worn on anyone, it looks great on both men and women
