Full description
As a practising therapist, I often talk about the power of comforting visual anchors. In many traditions, the elephant represents quiet wisdom, steady endurance, and grounded patience-gentle qualities that offer reassurance whenever life feels busy or demanding.
I found these wonderful elephants at an antiques fair in Norfolk and instantly fell in love with their character. Originally created as tea light holders, each one has been lovingly upcycled and given a new, mindful purpose as a one-of-a-kind pin cushion.
This piece features hand-painted detailing in rich, restful green across the saddle and ceremonial head cover. To complement the earthy work, I hand-sewed the cushion using an authentic William Morris print fabric, creating a timeless harmony of heritage pattern and colour. The elephant has a solid, grounding weight that keeps it perfectly steady on your work table, desk, or bedside cabinet.
