Full description
A vintage tea towel caught my eye with its sweet illustrations of The Lake District. These beautifully designed old fabrics are fun to recycle into some bright and breezy make up bags or purses.
This little square one features a map of some of the great lakes on the front and a view of the edge of Solway Firth on the back. Perfect for stashing your holiday money, these little purses are also useful for organising your ruck sack or tote bag. This would make a thoughtful Fathers' day present, as a gift for a walker or for anyone craving the Lake District this summer!
Inspiration: I love the illustrations on old tea towels. Someone's holiday memento brought home many moons ago, and often unused. It's nice to make them into a little practical object once again, and get those illustrations seen one more time.
The tea towel is backed with cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It measures a square 16 cm by 16 cm and has a handy hook on one corner.
It is lined with a 60s geometric pattern cotton, closes with a 16 cm turquoise zip, and is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please wash on a short, cool cycle and leave to dry naturally.
Your order will be wrapped in clean, recycled wrapping and posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class.
