Full description
A solid sterling silver open ring with polished silver edges and blue oxidised swirl texture.
This ring has a bright, reflective silver band contrasted with areas of blue, black and violet oxidation. The textured sections are full of small circular marks and swirling patterns, giving the piece a starry, painterly feel, a little like a night sky captured in metal.
The shape is open, with two offset ends that wrap around the finger. I form each ring to size at the bench before sending it out, so it has the look and slight flexibility of an open ring without feeling thin or flimsy.
Each ring is made and finished by hand in my small workshop in Kent. The exact swirl pattern and blue tones will vary from piece to piece, which means every ring has its own character. The overall look remains the same: polished sterling silver, dark oxidised texture, and flashes of blue across the surface.

The blue and dark oxidised areas are oxidised finishes, so they may gradually soften or change with wear, especially on raised areas. This is normal for oxidised silver and part of how the ring develops over time. To preserve the contrast, avoid heavy polishing over the coloured textured areas and store in the free included anti tarnish pouch.
