This ring has been handmade using sterling silver and a 4mm faceted garnet gemstone.
The setting has been handmade by melting silver into a large granule, which has then been hammered into a flat disc. The garnet has then been flush set into the silver. The ring is 1.5mm wide and is a UK size P.
Garnet has long been treasured as a stone of protection, love and steady strength. It is a gem said to bring warmth and courage to its wearer. Its deep red glow adds a gentle spark of colour without shouting for attention. Garnet is the birthstone for January, making this the perfect gift for someone who has a birthday in January.
