Full description
This brooch has been hand cut from a larger mixed media piece. Each botanical collection creates tiny worlds of colour and texture. This design incorporates printed leaf textures and a pressed leaf-a Nyssa sinensis which turns red in autumn.
The design is made up of three layers - art board, wood veneer, and resin. The resin is sanded to a glass like finish. The edges of the design are sanded and painted to give an aged look. The wood and edges are varnished with a matt varnish for durability.
