The Earth and Sky Coffee Table from Soranami Design is a celebration of Structural Honesty. It is a tactile conversation between materials, directly inspired by the 'predictably unpredictable' patterns of nature.
This twin-tone table marries the quiet strength of Japanese minimalism with the warm functionality of Scandinavian design (Japandi). We pair a dark-stained, heavy live-edge top (the Earth) with a bright, minimalist natural wood base (the Sky). This contrast creates a visible 'horizon line' in your room, grounding your space while maintaining an airy, light-filled atmosphere.
Craftsmanship & Details:
Signature Joinery: We celebrate traditional British artisan skills, featuring exposed dowel joinery and hand-finished chamfered edges on every leg.
The Slatted Shelf: Our rhythmic slatted lower shelf provides smart, lightweight storage for books and magazines, adding to the table's elegant footprint.
Live-Edge Top: Every slab is unique. We don't correct the natural, fluid flow of the timber; we highlight it. Your table top is guaranteed to be the only one of its kind in existence.
Solid Wood Construction: Built from sustainably sourced, high-quality timber in our family workshop. Designed to endure for life and living.
The Soranami Journey:
This table is one of the first pieces to emerge from my grandfather's workshop since I unlocked it in 2025. He spent his life as a master craftsman (working on projects like the Windsor Castle refurbishment). After 15 years in a London suit, I have traded meetings for the workbench to honour his legacy. While this is a journey of passion, Soranami is importantly a business. When you buy from us, you aren't just buying furniture; you are supporting the survival of traditional craft.
