Create a bold, distinctive floral piece with this Swainsona formosa (Sturt's Desert Pea) embroidery kit: an original, hand-drawn design, created from scratch.
Known for its striking red petals and deep black centre, this iconic Australian wildflower grows in arid landscapes and has become a symbol of resilience and endurance. This design captures its dramatic form and vivid colour, translated into a detailed and satisfying embroidery project.
With clear instructions and a guided stitch process, this kit from the Australian Flora collection is suitable for both experienced stitchers and beginners. designed to take you from first stitch to a finished piece ready to display. All of these kits are designed by me, starting with observational hand drawn illustrations of the flowers which are then vectorised and coloured in Adobe Illustrator.
