Hand Knitted and felted Scots Bonnet worked in Shetland Wool - seen here in Jacobite Blue
The Jacobites were supporters of the Stuart dynasty who sought to restore the Stuart Monarchy to the thrones of Scotland, England and Ireland.
The movement was most active in the 18th Century - the Jacobites were finally defeated at the Battle of Culloden On April 16t"h 1746
Knitted to fit -
Head Circumference - 57-61cms (22-24") wide
The Outer Edge of the bonnet is 30.5cms 12"wide and 30.5cms (12") long
The bonnet is knitted in pure wool and as such it is recommended it is hand washed only but full laundry instructions are enclosed with the purchase
Wool is a natural material and as such naturally repels odours and dirt.
if your bonnet just needs freshened up, hang outside in the fresh air for a time and it will come back in fresh
