Working full time and knitting part time was not really working for me. So I retired early and decided to enjoy my life more.
I had always loved knitting - just watching patterns grow, so knitting became the greatest part of my new life.
My husband gives me his full backing except when I don't answer him because I am in the middle of a row!
One day, I received an email from someone who advised they were from the costume department of a new television series that was to be filmed here in Scotland - she had seen my work on another website and asked if I could do "Scottish" things - I said yes without really knowing what I was entering into. That TV production was the major TV series "Outlander!"
When you watch it - think of me - I had never heard of it before!!
Nowadays, I knit for all age groups and in different yarns to suit every pocket and taste
Anyway, I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders, about 30 miles from the ancient city of Edinburgh but I have to admit, although Edinburgh is my most favourite city to visit, I am a country girl at heart

Great bonnet, proper hand knitted on the round with no seam, then felted. Just the right width any bigger would be too big.
Well worth the money.
