This one-of-a-kind tote bag is great for shopping or makes a perfect 'analog bag' for carrying a book and some snacks for a trip to the park for a picnic.
The fabric I used to make this fab tote bag is vintage cotton barkcloth fabric from the early 1950s. It had not been used so is in fabulous condition. The design is gorgeous and features carnations, roses and contrasting springs of goldenrod.
Product Details:
- Completely unique, handcrafted unlined tote bag, made with care from upcyled 1950s vintage barkcloth fabric.
- Measures a 40cm depth x 37cm width (laid flat) and has handles long enough to carry on your shoulder
- Fully enclosed 'French Seams'
- Has a flat bottom, which makes it easier when you're packing it with your shopping
- Can easily be folded or rolled and popped in your handbag for those times when you pop to the shops for one thing and end up with a basketful!
- Hand wash or pop it in your machine on a low-temperature delicates wash, hang to dry and finish with a cool iron.
- Other items (listed separately) are available in this fabric as shown in the final photo.
This tote bag is a one-off, entirely hand made by me in my studio in Oxfordshire.
