These earrings are partly made using sterling silver and Karen Hill Tribe silver. The slices in the middle are the Karen Hill Tribe silver components. The Karen Hill Tribe silver is made in northern Thailand and is 99.5 - 99.9% silver, which means it has a higher silver content than sterling silver.
These earrings can be bought on either french wires, fish wires or kidney wires - use the drop-down tab to select your preference. The earrings will arrive nicely presented in a gift box.
By the very nature of sterling silver, there is no way to protect it from tarnishing because sterling silver reacts with so many materials found in everyday life. The best way to reduce tarnish build-up is to actually wear your sterling silver jewellery often. When sterling silver is not worn it tarnishes quickly. Unavoidable I'm afraid, but perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned by, and it can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth or polishing cream.
