Unisex Sterling Silver 15mm Concave Disc Earrings - Gift Boxed
I have made a few pairs of these stud style earrings using my offcuts of 925 Sterling Silver. The concave 15mm disc gives a timeless and stylish look suitable for everyone one, male and female etc. Through out a period of time I save all of my 925 jewellery wire/sheet off cuts and melt down in my crucible which leaves me with a smallish pebble which I hammer down, lanneal (softens metal) and hammer again until I have generated a flatter shape. Using my rolling mill, i roll the silver over and over to the desired thickness. It's a lengthy but satisfying process, making something beautiful from my my offcuts. Following this I cut out my discs with a hand saw, lightly sand them, then anneal again to soften. Using my dapping tools I create a beautiful concave shape. Once I am happy, I solder my ear pins on the back, sand using several grits to achieve a smooth finish which at this point, my favourite bit, I go through several polishing processes.
