This original A4 watercolor was inspired by a remarkable lady in her 90s who finds delight in the simplest of things. Every day, she positions her chair just so, so she can watch the squirrels darting across the fence. I’ve helped make a little haven for them with a carefully topped-up feeder, bringing her endless laughter and smiles. The squirrels’ playful antics are small, everyday joys—but they brighten even the hardest days. This painting captures that light, that connection, and the quiet beauty of nature that touches us all.
