Full description
Handwoven scarf in greens and blues using hand spun wool consisting of 70% Shetland sheep fleece and 30% silk. The ready carded, ready dyed prepared fleece from Wildcraft. The mix was called "Paua Shells". The resulting yarn was spun from one end of the roving to the other giving a random yarn. The yarn has a lustrous look due to the silk and lots of depth of colour. The yarn was used for the weft and a hand spun ready prepared deep blue Marino wool roving was used for warp. The scarf is very soft. The yarn was lightly spun.
the scarf was woven with a simple zigzag pattern.
Measurements...71" x 6". Fringe 6"
Wash in warm soapy water and dry flat. Do not wring or spin. do not iron.
