This puffin piece was inspired by windswept Iceland coastlines and the quiet resilience of seabirds.
There’s something endlessly endearing about puffins—their bright beaks, their steady presence against rugged cliffs, and the way they return year after year to the same shores. I wanted to capture not just their appearance, but that sense of belonging and calm determination.
As I worked with the wool, I focused on soft textures and gentle contrasts, letting the fibres suggest the movement of sea air and the stillness of a moment perched by the edge of the water. It became a study in simplicity and character—small, but full of life.
This piece is a reflection of those coastal pauses—where everything feels fresh, quiet, and beautifully grounded in nature.
