This dove began with the maroon‑purple glass — a translucent sheet with a richness that shifts beautifully in changing light. I paired it with a sunset‑orange‑and‑pink glass for the main wing, choosing a section where the colours blend softly, like the sky just before dusk. The tail feathers were cut from white glass to balance the deeper tones and bring a sense of lightness to the design.
Each piece was hand‑cut, shaped, foiled, and soldered using the Tiffany method, allowing the colours to meet cleanly and glow together once the dove is held up to the light. Every dove in this series is made individually, so each one carries its own unique flow of colour
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one handmade stained glass dove suncatcher, crafted with a deep maroon purple translucent glass for the body. The main wing is cut from a beautiful sunset inspired glass that blends orange and pink, while the tail feathers combine soft pink and white for a gentle, glowing finish. Together, the colours create a warm, radiant effect when the light shines through.
The finished piece measures approximately 8 cm high x 13 cm wide, including the hanging hook.
Each dove is individually hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany copper foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered, and cleaned. As with all craft glass, natural textures and variations make every dove completely unique. We’ve done our best to show the true colours in the photographs.
Although we enjoy ours as decorations on the Christmas tree, this dove looks just as lovely displayed all year round in a sunny window, on a wall hook, or as part of a nature inspired display.
