The bee orchid was one of the first flowers that came to mind when I thought of making wildflower bookmarks, but it proved to be a bit more difficult than I'd bargained for. I made other designs until one day, as so often happens, the design that just wouldn't work, worked!

Full description

A kit containing all you need to make this beautiful bookmark, using both cross stitch and backstitch.

The kit contains:

17 cm length Zweigart 14 count 5cm/2inch aida band

Pre-sorted Madeira embroidery threads

Needle

Full instructions including the pattern and instructions for working and finishing the bookmark.

Finished size 2” x 6” (5cm x 15cm)

This is a counted cross stitch kit, the pattern is not printed on the fabric. It is suitable for the more experienced stitcher, but includes instructions on how to begin, to stitch and to finish the project, so would be worth a try by any ambitious beginner!
