Our rescue tortoise Squirt came to us with spoonlip as his previous owner had not fed him correctly. The rescue centre trimmed his beak for us and told us we need to feed him on an abrasive surface and probably have him trimmed regularly by the vet. I couldn't find a single feeding bowl without a smooth surface in any pet shop so I decided to make my own. Squirt loves his bowls and he hasn't needed his beak trimming in the 2 years we've had him. The rescue centre liked my bowls so much, they use them for all their tortoise and now stock them in their shop.
