Inspired by my love of books, vintage clothing and dancing, my creations are often one off pieces; sewn, crocheted or crafted with paper or clay and filled with imagination (and sometimes lavender!)
I try to post within 24hrs whenever possible although it says within 3days in the description. (Postage is included in the cost of the item.)
Bow ties are cool! As once said a certain Doctor. However I thought they were cool long before that... Doctor Jones, Mr Bond, Fred Astaire...
I love the vintage look of them and wanted to re-create that style, with modern, themed or unusual fabrics. I went overboard and made lots...

Show off your vintage style with this helicopter pattern bow tie. Perfect for an aviophile!
Adjustable with silver-coloured metal hook fastenings up to 46cm. The actual bow measures 11X6 cm approximately and the band is 2cm wide.
Washable: for best results hand-wash or machine-wash delicate 30 degrees, preferably in a suitable wash-bag.
I created various bow ties with new, pre-washed, cotton, poly-cotton and linen blend fabrics. Most were cotton but now I am unsure which were the cotton and which were the poly-cotton, so have put both those in the materials section.
Do not tumble dry; air dry only. They can be taken apart for ironing if needed but please take notes/photos of how you did it, step by step, so you can put it back together again when you have done! Steam or dry-iron using a pressing cloth (I use a large cotton handkerchief for my delicate ironing) However, test on an inconspicuous area first, as depending on the type of fabric, a hot iron may make it shiny.
