This mushroom was inspired by the delicate, almost translucent fungi that appear in cool woodland shade — pale caps marked with soft lines, and gills that seem to glow when the light touches them. The sky‑blue glass offered that gentle, airy quality, while the purple veining added a sense of quiet detail, like the fine patterns you only notice when you pause and look closely. The iridescent gills complete the piece with a subtle shimmer, turning it into a small study of colour, texture, and the quiet beauty of forest floor discoveries
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass mushroom, made with a sky blue glass cap traced with fine purple lines in varying hues, giving it the look of naturally veined fungi. Beneath the cap, clear iridescent glass forms the gills, catching the light with a soft shimmer that shifts as you move around it. Two hanging loops are secured on the reverse, and the mushroom is best displayed using both for a balanced, secure hang. The piece is approximately 12.5 cm tall and 9.5 cm wide.

Each mushroom is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered, and cleaned. Craft glass naturally contains small variations and tiny imperfections, making every mushroom a unique original. The photographs show the colours as faithfully as possible, though stained glass always shifts a little with the changing light.
These mushrooms can be used as suncatchers, hung on a wall, added to a seasonal display, or incorporated into a woodland themed arrangement.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
