Pop your head into the burrow — the critters have been expecting you.
They’ve been whispering, posing, and generally causing small amounts of chaos while I carve. Wander in, poke about the shelves, and see which rascal tries to follow you home. Every creature here has a bit of mischief in its grain and a story tucked behind its ears.
If something sparks a question, makes you grin, or inspires a custom idea, just give me a shout. I’m usually nearby, ready to pop out of a tunnel with a smile and a sprinkle of sawdust.

Full description

Dodger the Donkey Carving

Size 10 by 3.5 cm

Dodger is a small hand carved donkey who looks as though he has wandered home after a long and curious adventure. His ear has a tiny piece missing and a rope rests around his leg, small clues to whatever mischief he found along the way. He has that gentle worn in look of someone who has seen a bit of the world and decided it is time for a rest.

He is carved from basswood with a single knife, then sanded smooth and painted with watercolour and acrylic to bring out his soft expression. A coat of Danish oil gives him a warm natural finish.

A charming little character for anyone who loves rustic folk art and creatures with quiet stories to tell.
