Pop your head into the burrow — the critters have been expecting you.
They’ve been whispering, posing, and generally causing small amounts of chaos while I carve. Wander in, poke about the shelves, and see which rascal tries to follow you home. Every creature here has a bit of mischief in its grain and a story tucked behind its ears.
If something sparks a question, makes you grin, or inspires a custom idea, just give me a shout. I’m usually nearby, ready to pop out of a tunnel with a smile and a sprinkle of sawdust.

Creating whimsy in the English countryside, with the help of my two cats. I love making unique little animal characters from wood. I imagine their little lives and personalities, what jobs they have, what they would wear, and the results are some pretty cute little critters. I never get bored of creating new buddies, and I'm always searching for animals I have never made before (getting very difficult!) I love doing custom requests so please get in touch and inspire me.

Little Lottie the ladybird wasn't a commissioned piece for a change, but when I saw herI knew she was meant to be mine as she has special meaning for me. With her wide-eyed look and flower on her dress, she's just adorable.
I DID ask for Dahlia the dust bunny, however, and she's equally delightful in her carrot apron. With her cute flopped over ear and wielding her feather duster, I think she may be a real task master, though. We'll get things sorted, as Claire's creations are generally a very well behaved crew!

This pair of little carved foxes are SO different from each other, but both are utterly charming. Barnabas the bat-eared variety has ears large enough to hear insects underground, but apparently his hearing is selective,as evidenced by the ' WHAT ?!'on his bandana. Then there's the cool, elegant Callista. She's a Canadian marble fox, and luckily Claire provided her with a bag of marbles in her paws. So sweet and funny ... thanks once again.

I wish I could leave a better than brilliant rating for these two recent purchases ... Emmeline the ermine is VERY fetching in her cherry patterned swimsuit and clutching her rubber duck. And Paco the prairie dog has such a wistful expression on his little face. He's just adorable holding onto his sunflower while perched on a craggy stump.Claire's imagination and whimsy seem limitless !
