This mushroom was inspired by the pale, speckled fungi that appear in shaded woodland after rain — fragile, luminous, and easy to miss unless you pause and look closely. The Monterrey glass, with its natural white spotting, felt like a perfect way to capture that fleeting beauty. Paired with the soft pink gills, it becomes a small study in texture and light, made to bring a moment of quiet, botanical calm into a window or cosy corner.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass mushroom, made with Oceanside Spirit Monterrey glass for the cap — a beautiful clear glass scattered with soft white spots that echo the markings of real woodland fungi. Beneath the cap, a wispy pink glass forms the gills, adding a delicate flush of colour that glows when the light passes through. Two hanging loops are secured on the reverse, and the mushroom is best displayed using both for a balanced, secure hang.
The piece is approximately 12.5 cm tall and 9.5 cm wide. Other colours are available; please see the final photograph and related listings for the full range.
Each mushroom is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered, and cleaned. Craft glass naturally contains small variations and tiny imperfections, making every mushroom a unique original. The photographs show the colours as faithfully as possible, though stained glass always shifts a little with the changing light.
These mushrooms can be used as suncatchers, hung on a wall, added to a seasonal display, or incorporated into a woodland themed arrangement. Their warm tones and playful shape make them a versatile accent for any cosy corner.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
