These woodland scenes were inspired by the quiet kindness found in nature — the way small creatures seem to share moments of curiosity, generosity, and friendship. I wanted each illustration to feel like a tiny story: a fox pausing to greet a butterfly, a bird delivering a thoughtful gift, a hedgehog bringing news in a letter, and a joyful dash of celebration with butterflies lifting a present skyward.
Working with Penny Black’s expressive designs, I added soft watercolour washes to bring warmth and life to each character. These pieces were created with crafters and storytellers in mind — illustrations that spark imagination, invite gentle creativity, and offer a mindful moment in the making

Full description
An A4 sheet of hand stamped woodland illustrations, created using Penny Black stamps on thick, lightly textured watercolour paper.
Each scene features a tender moment between foxes, hedgehogs, birds, and butterflies — tiny stories full of warmth and gentle character:
1. A fox nestled among flowers, almost in conversation with a blue butterfly.
2. A fox receiving a beautifully wrapped present carried in by a helpful little bird.
3. A fox accepting a letter from a friendly hedgehog.
4. A joyful bonus illustration: a hedgehog running with a gift held high, while butterflies flutter above, lifting the ribbons.
These illustrations are ideal for card making, journalling, scrapbooking, children’s crafts, or framing as whimsical woodland prints. The sturdy watercolour paper is perfect for cutting, layering, or adding your own embellishments.
Each sheet is individually hand stamped and watercoloured, so every set has its own unique character. There is also an uncoloured option, perfect for those who enjoy mindful colouring, want to personalise the scenes, or prefer to add their own palette.
If buying mutiple items, unused postage costs will be returned to the buyer.
