This set grew from quiet sketchbook moments spent watching hedgehogs potter through the garden, pausing to sniff flowers or investigate ladybirds. Each illustration is painted slowly and intentionally, embracing your shop’s mindfully made ethos. The Penny Black format gives the sheet a nostalgic, collectible feel, as though each tiny scene is a little message waiting to be shared.

Full description
An A4 sheet of three Penny Black hedgehog illustrations, printed on thick watercolour paper and finished with gentle hand painted washes. Each tiny scene captures a different moment of garden magic. One hedgehog peeks out of a terracotta pot beside a bright bloom that a bee is happily visiting. Another scurries along with a bunch of flowers held proudly in its paws, full of movement and purpose. The final illustration brings together four hedgehogs in different poses, each quietly communing with curious ladybirds.
Every sheet is individually watercoloured, so each one carries its own soft variations in tone and brushstroke. An uncoloured version is also available for those who enjoy mindful colouring or want to match a specific palette.
These illustrations work beautifully across a wide range of creative projects. They make charming card toppers for birthdays, thank yous, spring celebrations, Easter or simply sending a little woodland cheer. They slip easily into journals and scrapbooks, adding a gentle countryside moment to your pages, and can be trimmed into gift tags, layered into collage or mixed media pieces or stitched around the edges for a tactile finish. Because they are printed on sturdy watercolour paper, they also stand well as small framed prints for a nursery, craft room or cosy corner.
