I became inspired by the shape of the plaque. I love Star Wars and wanted to link it to the galaxy and far, far away.

Full description
A unique, hand-turned wooden plaque crafted from poplar and finished entirely by hand. The 20cm diameter piece features a carved shield-style design that adds depth and texture to the surface.
The background is painted black, with contrasting metallic details: a hint of silver on one side and gold leaf on the other. At the centre is a striking negative outline of Darth Vader’s helmet painted in white, creating a bold focal point. Around the outer ring the phrase “A long time ago” has been hand-painted, inspired by the iconic opening of the saga.
This plaque is carved for additional detail and painted, making it a one-of-a-kind decorative piece-perfect for fans, collectors, or as a distinctive wall display.
