These little scenes begin with a moment of quiet focus. I sit with the soft Penny Black outlines — the dog drifting upward on his heart balloon, the hedgehog peeking from a flowerpot, the rabbit proudly holding his carrots — and let the brush bring them gently to life. Painting them helps me slow down and settle into a calmer rhythm, and each postcard becomes its own tiny story. There’s something soothing about creating these cheerful characters, and I hope they carry that same sense of warmth and lightness to whoever receives them.

This listing is for a cheerful trio of hand painted postcard blanks featuring three different Penny Black illustrations, each one stamped with original rubber stamps and brought to life with soft, expressive watercolour.
This set includes:
1. A dog floating upward on a heart shaped balloon, full of joy and gentle whimsy.
2. A hedgehog nestled in a flowerpot, peeking out with sweet curiosity.
3. A rabbit holding a bunch of carrots, bright eyed and full of character.
Each postcard is individually painted, making every one a tiny original artwork. The watercolour adds warmth, delicate shading, and a sense of playful storytelling, while the crisp stamped outlines keep the characters instantly recognisable.
