Full description
Step into a world of hidden layers and industrial history with Urban Archaeology, a one-of-a-kind mixed media abstract. This piece explores the concept of the city as a living organism—constantly built up, scraped back, and rediscovered.
The composition is dominated by a striking sunflower yellow and deep ochre, which act as "light" breaking through a structural framework of charcoal black and stark white. Using a heavy-body acrylic technique, I have created a surface that is incredibly tactile; the raised ridges and "excavated" textures mimic the weathered surfaces of an evolving city.
