Welcome! I’m the maker behind JD Studio, a creative space where I explore the intersection of light, metal, and colour. Based among the fells and ever-changing skies of Cumbria, my work is a reflection of the textures and tones found in the natural world around me.

The Craft
I don’t like to stay in one lane. I believe that different ideas require different mediums, which is why my shop is a curated mix of:

Abstract Paintings: Bold, emotive pieces that focus on movement and fluid textures.

Recycled metal and Sterling Silver Jewellery: Hand-fabricated rings with an artisan finish.

Pen and Ink drawings : Original artwork with a pixel edge!

Stained Glass: Traditional techniques met with contemporary design, catching the Cumbrian light and bringing it indoors.

And lots of other ideas and projects brought to life using different mediums.

My Philosophy
Every piece in this shop is handmade by me in my home studio. Whether I’m soldering a silver band or layering pigment on a canvas, my goal is to create "functional art"—items that bring a bit of North Country soul and handmade character into your home or your jewellery box.
