I started making small cushions a couple of years ago because they fit in to the small of your back just right, not too big and not too squashy. Family and friends use these cushions daily and I do too. Filling the hand made inner cover with sheep's wool was a natural choice for me because I spin and weave so I am able to source supplies from farms and British wool merchants. This pleases my eco warrior daughter.
My husband chose the name Lum-Baa, he is long in the back and is the proud owner of my first lumbar cushion.

Full description
A small cushion for the times when you need a little extra support at the base of your back. The outer cover is made of a durable sheep patterned, tapestry style fabric; with a zip. The inner cover has an ample fill of sheep wool to give natural comfort of which is firm and supportive. This is adjustable by unzipping and removing some of the fleece from the inner cover if needed. On the back of the outer cover are two fabric loops holding a light webbed strap with a simple D ring to fasten on to seat backs if needed. This strap can be replaced for a more substantial strap of your choice.
Size is 33cm x 20cm or 13'' x 8'' approx.
Both the outer and inner cover are hand made with care and thought on my sewing machine, the filling is 100% British sheep wool.
A hand made complimentary lavender bag can be found with the wool fill.
