Lumbar Cushion

I have always been an arty crafty creative person, who thrives by making things. I can not sit still and do nothing, tv bores me. If I have to be still , I want to be comfortable, so I can spin, weave, paint, draw, sew and when I can, I enjoy gardening, for me it's another form of playing with colour and design. In the corner of my garden I have a studio of which I call 'The Nook', it is my working haven or creative den. It is glorious on a sunny day with the double doors open and the smell of jasmine coming in. A warm, dry and cosy bolt hole in the winter time.
Coming back to being comfortable, I always prop a small cushion in the small of my back which enables a good sitting position to do creative things and yet remain relaxed. My son uses one on his office chair, my husband won't drive without one, we are a long backed family and a small lumbar cushion for us gives excellent support. We've even popped them in a bag for a cinema visit!
It all came about last Autumn after laying in bed one day, listening to the early morning bird song probably a robin, when I thought aloud realising my husband was awake too and shared with him my crazy idea of making and possibly selling the small cushions. He said it was a good idea and I should call it Lum-Baa, because I stuff with British wool fleece which not only supports backs but also the environment and British farmers.
