Ireland's only native breed. The beautiful natural creamy white fleece is ideal for spinning and felting and dyes very well indeed.
Purebred Galway sheep and their wool is deeply connected to the heritage of traditional Aran sweaters and Irish tweed.
Though the Galway breed has fewer than 2,000 breeding females remaining worldwide, making its wool is incredibly rare. Working with Galway fibre is embracing a piece of precious and unique textile history.
