The first of it’s kind. Quickclawz had been initially designed a few years ago by Hazel in conjunction with D2M design2manufacture.co.uk It was then modified for 3D printing by engineering friend Colin and Kevin and Penny of Pawfect Grip dryer handles. It is a training aid to help owners, groomers, vet techs etc learn how to cut dog’s nails safely and confidently.
Hazel was a Podiatrist for NHS Scotland for 20 years before changing careers to Dog Grooming. It was perhaps only a matter of time before she swapped an interest in foot care for claws and paws. She noticed that experienced groomers and owners were afraid to cut black claws incase they hurt the dog. As a groomer she also noticed the knock on effect to dogs comfort and posture when they had long nails and increased pain levels.
Hazel noticed that there were no training models for learning to cut dog’s claws available on the market and that’s when QuickClawz was developed.

QuickClawz is an innovative training tool designed for dog groomers, pet professionals, and owners to learn how to safely and confidently trim dog nails. Invented by former podiatrist Hazel Patterson, this first-of-its-kind tool helps users practice techniques to avoid the "quick".
Your QuickClawz model is available in a variety of colours and will come with a mix of 20 clear and black claws. Claws will be available to purchase separately also. The paw can be right or left sided. It has a non slip stand with two different heights. The lowest height with the claws on shows that the claws are too long and touching the ground. The model has to be moved up to the higher setting to practice cutting or removed from the stand. Instructions will be included for basic nail cutting and tips on how to recede the quick with an alternative cut line. The paw has a handy storage area for claws, dremmel, nail clippers etc.
This is a brand new invention and we are working on demonstration videos and a support group to share tips on nail cutting and ask any questions.
