I am an animist, which means I experience the world as alive — imbued with spirit, interconnected and intelligent. When I create a rattle, I do so in deep reverence to the spirit of the animal and the tree that have given their skin and wood to become its body.
Through ritual and ceremony, the rattle is born to help you reconnect with the Earth in a way that feels tangible and intimate. This is not symbolic — it is relational.

Full description
40cm L Rattle. Deer leather with a hazel handle. Hand-stitched and bound in purple waxed cotton and filled with glass, wooden beads and semi-precious crystal chips. The handle is finished with suede for a soft fit in your hand. I lovingly craft every part of this shanamic tool for you.
The Hazel was coppiced from my garden, the leather soaked in a sacred bath of Artemisia, and the bead colours chosen to reflect the card chosen for the energy of the Great Teacher. The rattle is topped with white feathers, gifted by my Sussex bantam chickens. The markings are glorious, and the head measures 9cm W x 14cm H.
