Full description
Handwoven long wool scarf. The yarn has been handspun from white prepared sheep fleece. The yarn has been hand dyed with a mixture of synthetic and natural cochineal dye.
The weave is experimental and a mixture of zig zag and birds eye designs using point threading over 6.
The stripe design carries through warp and weft. The addition of white in warp lifts the final look of piece. The colours are enhanced.
The sheep wool fleece was a mix of breeds. The finished yarn is soft .
The finished piece is in two parts with a mix of the the two designs.
Measurements.55" x 8". Fringe 4"
The scarf should be hand washed in warm soapy water. Do not spin. Dry flat.
